Memorial Day

DISCLAIMER:What I’m about to write is in no way, fashion, or form a disrespect to our armed forces.

I love the United States Armed Forces. My two brothers and my father were in the military. They deserve every respect I can muster to appreciate what they’ve done, doing, or will do. The United States have chosen three days to honor the military.

It’s happened in the past. It’s happening today. It will happen in the future. A miscelebration of the holiday Memorial Day. I think each one should be respected however each one should be celebrated for the cause they were created.

Memorial Day was created to honor those who have given the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty; their lives. It’s the day we have chosen to corporately as a country openly honor the ones who have fallen in battle.

Armed Forces Day was created to honor those corporately as a country those who are currently serving in the military.

Veterans Day was created to honor those corporately as a country those who have served in past wars and have survived and are living today, those who fought bravely and are still with us.

There are three ways we honor our military corporately as a nation. Today is Memorial Day. Let’s spend this day NOT honoring those who are still serving, or those who have served and are still with us. Today, Memorial Day is to honor those who have given their lives for the freedoms and continuation of this great nation.

Today, Memorial Day, we honored the dead!
