Free Fallin – Something new that we’ve been attempting is adding “secular” songs that are familiar and draw people to either the theme of the message or the theme of the worship songs. We’re not doing it all too often but we will do one occasionally. There was some real good discussion over at Fred McKinnon’s blog on this very subject. Because it was something new, the church didn’t know how to react. If your from Xtreme, I say react by rockin out. Sing along, and yea, stand up. Have some fun!

I Am Free – I’ll be honest I don’t like this song very much and struggle with singing it. The main reason I struggle with it is because not everyone in this world is free to run. This is flat out an American song, a song really only Americans can sing about our freedom to run, dance, and live for Christ and when I sing it, I can’t help but think about the prison people all over the world live in not being able to openly live so free. So I don’t really like singing this song. But you do what you feel God moves you to do!

Let God Arise – Fun song to sing and always have a blast singing this song. “His enemies will run for sure, The church will stand, she will endure, He holds the keys of life, our Lord, Death has no sting, no final word.” YES!!!!!

Because Of Your Love –  I still thank my bud Jamie Worley for introducing me to Phil Wickham. Great music and great song.

This Is My Desire – I love this song. It’s an older song but wonderful song. The Lord broke me down during this song and we had a great moment of worship during this song. Very powerful moment. I love it when we can get honest before the Lord as a church and have a “Coming to Jesus” moment, lol.

New Doxology – Still appreciate our former pastor introducing me to this song. Wonderful song updated with a new chorus.

The house was full today. We actually broke another attendance record. I met some more new people and had a really awesome time at church.  The Lord is building His church and it is exciting. Pastor brought it well. I love hearing the word on reconfirming my salvation through grace. Thankfully I didn’t have to do anything but accept God’s grace to enjoy His inheritance.
