11.13.11 Worship Rewind

Today was an interesting day. Full of laughs, fun, and hurts. I can’t get into much detail but I will say it was an emotional roller-coaster. Living in an Army town means that you meet new people who move in from other Army bases and you lose people who PCS to other places. One of the greatest blessings is when you’ve poured out yourself and invested into someone and they move away only to return back for a visit. So we got to see some friends today.

Musically, today was a blessing. Like always when rehearsal goes down like a ship, usually go-time goes well. We had a rough rehearsal but worship time was a real blessing. There are times when I don’t want to stop singing but I look out and see that the people are about sung out, so I call it a day. No need of leading them where they’re not ready or willing to go.

I really do appreciate our worship team working as hard as they do to bring great talent to the stage and play skillfully for our church. They deserve a pat on the back for sure for all the hard work and dedication they put into making the worship experience what it is.

***and for a tidbit of information, I’ve been blogging for five years and this is my 400th post.
