We didn’t have Wednesday night rehearsal. I was amazed at how well the team came together and played with skill and flowed so well together seamlessly. We had rehearsal this morning and had a couple of hiccups but for the most part, the team did so well.

We tried something new with Mission’s Flame. We tend to have a tempo problem as well as making the instruments fit together through the intro. It just always seems to be like a miss in the engine so what I decided to do today was leave ALL the instruments out of the first verse, second verse, and chorus then we repeat the first verse again. After all that we build on a measure and bring in the whole band in to rock the chorus. I thought it sounded great as well as full and simple. I truly believe in the adage, “Less is more.”

Last week we brought in No Turning Back for the first time and it was real sloppy; too fast, very choppy, and just seemed like it was not together. Today we did it again and the team flawlessly made it flow and sound so good. Very proud of our team and how much effort they put towards making worship a great time of encountering God.

We had a lot of visitors in the second service. It was good to see so many new faces. I got to meet a few of them and it was cool to hear their story how they find out about our church. Something I got from being in sales is I ask everyone that is new to our church how they hear about us. Amazingly, most of the time it’s through our website. A lot of fruit coming from the internet.

Great day at church. Great time of musical worship. Great message by Pastor Carlo. Lots of new folks as well as familiar faces. Xtreme is a great place to be.
