2.9.14 Worship Rewind

Worship Rewind 2013

We’ve been in this preaching series called Out Of The Box. Today we blew up that box by doing something extraordinarily different for our church. We played one song then Pastor Carlo brought our message and then we played the rest of our set. I thought it went well but I don’t think it would be something I would want to do all the time. What I did like about it was we learned it might be a good possibility to do a set up front and do one song as a response song at the end after the message. I did enjoy having the band up there with me after the message.

Pastor’s message was amazing today and the two nuggets I took away is…

  1. Christians are more concerned about offending people rather than affecting them.
  2. We are called to be salt of the world, not sugar of the world. Salt preserves, sugar kills.

In two weeks we’ll be having church at Manna Cafe, a feeding ministry in our town that we (GraceLife) supports in a major way. It’s going to be so much fun to be able to put faith to our feet and worship and serve the homeless in our community. That’s what church is about.
